Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is commonly known for treating various skin conditions such as psoriasis and acne. It can also be used as an antimicrobial and antifungal agent, which could help reduce symptoms of dandruff. According to studies, tea tree oil plays a significant role in treating Malassezia, which may be responsible for both dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis [1]. When placenta tissue is soaked in tea tree oil, it can be applied to the skin to treat fungal infections. Infact, studies show that placenta tissue mixed with tea tree oil is more effective in treating fungal diseases [2]. While tea tree oil is very useful in treating dandruff, more studies need to be done to understand how it works. Tea tree oil can cause irritation in people with sensitive skin. Therefore, it would help to dilute it by adding a few drops to a carrier oil such as coconut or jojoba oil before adding it directly to your skin.
