Common Signs of Xerosis
There are some common symptoms of xeroderma. The symptoms are very obvious and self-diagnosable. This condition may become bothersome when it starts to affect normal living. Some of the common signs [3] to look out for are:

Dry, ashy, or flaky skin which doesn’t improve despite your best efforts.

Redness of the skin

Dryness and itching that cause sleep disturbances

Developing open sores from frequent scratching

Flakes or peel frequently and has a permanent scale look

Skin that looks and feels rough to touch

Frequent or constant itching, a condition known as pruritus.

Slight to severe flaking, scaling, or peeling

Fine lines or cracks, which feels tight

Gray, ashy color is common in patients suffering from xerosis.

Deep cracks on the dermis that starts to bleed
