Hyperpigmentation can also be known as discoloration. This condition appears mostly as a patch and it is often noticed on the face, however, this condition can affect any part of the body. Hyperpigmentation also results from the excess deposit of melanin in a particular area on the skin and this deposit causes the affected area to be unusually darker than the other parts of the body.
