Signs of Rosacea

The appearance of rosacea can vary greatly from one person to another, also depending on the particular type one is experiencing. Most of the time not all the potential signs appear. However, at least one primary sign will show, examples of such signs include:
- Flushing: Many people who have rosacea have a history of frequent blushing called flushing. Facial redness is the earliest sign of the condition, although it tends to come and go.
- Persistent redness: You might mistake it for a blush or sunburn that isn’t going away. Get suspicious if your facial redness is not going away.
- Bumps and pimples: Swelling on your face that could be small, red, solid bumps or pus-filled pimples often develop and could be a sign of rosacea. Sometimes the bumps might resemble acne, [1] but rosacea doesn’t cause blackheads. You might also experience burning or stinging.
- Visible blood vessels: If you start to notice small blood vessels that look like thin, red lines become visible on your skin, it could be a sign of rosacea.
