Subtype 1: visible blood vessels, flushing, facial redness
Signs and symptoms
- Flushing and redness in the center of the face
- Dry skin, roughness or scaling
- Swollen skin [1]
- Skin may be very sensitive
- Visible broken blood vessels (spider veins) [2]
- Skin may sting and burn
People with this subtype of rosacea have a tendency to flush or blush more easily than other subtypes.
