Mild Fever
Cold-like symptoms are usually common in people with Rubella, with a low fever that is not higher than 38.3°C or 101°F. The type of fever that accompanies Rubella is usually mild and may result in sore throat or may cause conjunctivitis [2] in the eyes. The fever usually comes before the rash by one to two days, together with swollen lymph glands. [3] Your doctor may prescribe paracetamol to treat the sore throat and mild fever. Stiff Neck
Stiff neck, as a symptom of Rubella, is only common in adult patients. It is a severe symptom that can lead to life-threatening conditions if it is not treated on time. For example, encephalitis, [4] which is an inflammation of the brain, is a common life-threatening complication of Stiff neck, and it is a rare complication of Rubella. It is important to contact your doctor immediately to rule out any serious complications if you are experiencing a stiff neck.
