Secondary Stage
In the second stage of syphilis, skin rashes and sore throat develop. The rashes do not itch and are usually found on palm and soles. The rashes go unnoticed sometimes. Other symptoms in the secondary stage of syphilis include migraine, [1] fever, [2] weight loss, swollen glands, hair loss, aching joints, fatigue. [3] These symptoms go way with or without treatments. Secondary syphilis is frequently mistaken for another condition. Unless you get syphilis treatments, you will still have the infection in your body and it will advance into latent and tertiary stages. This is why it is advisable to go for STD testing.
