Stomach Viruses

Stomach viruses can lead to nausea and vomiting.
Gastroenteritis is a type of stomach virus that can result in upper stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea. If you have a stomach virus, you may also experience low energy, muscle aches, headaches. Gastroenteritis [3] is also referred to as the stomach flu, but it is not a type of flu. In most cases, symptoms go away on their own after a few days. It would help to stay away from heavy foods and drink only clear fluids that can help you stop vomiting.
It is important to avoid dehydration and drink something that restores electrolytes, like sports drink until the symptoms leave. You may need medical treatment to ensure you stay hydrated. Contact your healthcare provider if you have a compromised immune system, or a severe health condition like cancer.
Muscle pain
Since many muscles attach to the upper stomach, any mild muscle injury or spasm may cause temporary pain in the abdomen. Gentle massage and rest may reduce the pain. You may also use cold and hot packs to reduce pain. If your muscle pain does not get better after gentle massaging for a few days, contact your doctor for better treatment.
