High body temperature & Flushed skin
Heatstroke patients usually have a core body temperature of 104 F (40 C) or higher, which is obtained with a rectal thermometer. At this time, the patient starts to feel very hot inside and outside. The body is unable to control its temperature as it continues to rise uncontrollably. This is the first and most common sign of a heat stroke as the skin feels very hot to touch
It is a normal reaction for your skin to turn bright red [4] as your body temperature increases. This is more visible in people with fair skin and not so much in those with dark skin tones. This symptom may occur earlier on during heat exhaustion before it progresses into a stroke, so it is important to pay attention to the signs.
