Tooth Abscess

Tooth abscess [5] is when there is an enclosed pus-filled collection created by bacteria. The pus-filled pocket develops in your tooth’s root tip. One side of your face may experience excruciating discomfort that extends to your ear and jawbone. You could also have sore, swollen lymph nodes around your throat and neck.
Other symptoms of tooth abscess or infection include:
- sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures.
- soreness in the mouth or cheeks
- enlarged lymph nodes beneath your jaw or in your neck
- fever
- difficulty swallowing
- difficulty chewing
A dentist would probably suggest that you see an oral surgeon to have your wisdom teeth removed if they are giving you trouble.
