Yes, one could experience memory lapses, difficulty thinking and concentrating as a symptom of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. If the thyroid is not working correctly and not enough thyroid hormone is circulated in the body, it can cause memory issues. The underactive thyroid gland can appear like mild dementia, causing forgetfulness and other memory problems.

Some other common symptoms of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis include weight gain, dry and pale skin, high cholesterol, irregular and heavy period, hair loss or thinning, slowed heart rate, increased sensitivity to cold, puffy face, inflammation of the tongue, and brittle nails.
