When Is Flu Season?

Who Is More Prone to Having the Flu or Flu-related Conditions?

  • Children younger than five years, especially those below two
  • Pregnant women
  • People who live in nursing homes
  • Patients in the hospital
  • People older than 65 years

More research must be done to know when and how the flu season starts. In most cases, the CDC provides tools to reduce the effects of several viruses by observing the flu data in the country.

Studies also show that the Influenza virus is mainly seen in bats, horses, whales, chickens, pigs, and cats. The strains found in these animals are different, and some strains cannot be transferred to humans. However, viruses like the swine flu [2] can be transmitted from pigs to humans.
