Hormone Problem

The endocrine system controls the hormone system, so when one experiences a sudden change in the endocrine system, it could cause night sweat. The brain’s activity can also be affected by a difference in the endocrine system, contributing to hormone imbalance and resulting in excessive sweating at night. Examples of hormone problems that can cause night sweats include diabetes, high blood sugar level, abnormal sex hormones, and hyperthyroidism. [7] Also, some of the conditions that affect the endocrine system are Pheochromocytoma [8] and carcinoid syndrome. [9]
Anxiety
Excessive sweating is a symptom of anxiety disorder. Anxiety causes the body’s stress response to be activated, which would then result in tonight’s stress. The case of anxiety changes the metabolism of the body, the heart rate, and the body temperature. Sleeping when you feel anxious can also cause one to have nightmares, which would prompt a physiological response of night sweat.
Feeling anxious gets one all worked up even though you are not necessarily doing anything. An overactive mind revs up your brain and body, which can cause sweating.
