Neurological Conditions

Although this is not too common, however, some neurological conditions will potentially result in excessive sweating and, therefore, cause night sweat. An example of a neurological disorder that may cause night sweats is hyperhidrosis, [10] this may occur as a result of the dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system. Other conditions that can transpire for nights sweats include: autonomic dysreflexia, autonomic neuropathy, stroke, and post-traumatic syringomyelia.
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
This is a chronic progressive condition that makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood to the body as a result of weak heart muscle. At the most critical stage, the heart completely stops pumping blood to the body. Excessive perspiration is one of the major signs and symptoms of congestive heart failure. The case of excessive perspiration in some cases can be as severe as causing night sweat.
