Mild side effects
According to experts, people who take actos may experience the following mild side effects:
- Weight gain
- Flatulence (gas) [1]
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Muscle aches or pains
- Upper respiratory tract infection [2], such as sinus infection or common cold
- Diarrhea
Most of these side effects were only observed in people who combined insulin and actos. Weight gain may appear as a symptom of a heart condition, a severe side effect of Actos.
In most cases, these mild side effects leave after some days or weeks. You can talk to your doctor if a side effect worsens over time or persists for a long time.
