Conclusion

Propranolol is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, anxiety and other medical conditions. It falls under a class of drugs called beta-blockers. It can cause some side effects but many people have experienced little to no side effects.
Adults and infants can use this drug but infants within the age of 5 weeks to 1 year can be given Hemangeol [7], the liquid form of propranolol.
Do not share this medication with others. Always listen to your doctor’s instructions and follow his/her guidelines. Do not prescribe this drug yourself (avoid self-medication). Visit your doctor immediately if you have persistent side effects and check your blood pressure regularly.
