BNP levels

BNP levels vary with sex and age. However, the clinical normal BNP level is usually below 100 picograms per milliliter (pg/mL).
According to research, BNP levels are higher in older people and females. They are also higher in people who have an underlying condition. You are susceptible to heart failure if your level goes higher than 100 pg/mL. Kidney disorders also increase your chances of having heart failure.
To get a more accurate result, your doctor may combine BNP tests and other diagnostic procedures.
