5 Causes of Brain Aneurysm

Trauma or injury

Trauma or injury that affects the blood vessels in the brain can cause a brain aneurysm. This usually causes a type of aneurysm known as a dissecting aneurysm [5]. If you have experienced brain trauma that puts you at risk of an aneurysm, you should avoid situations that may cause it to rupture.

Activities that can cause your aneurysm to rupture include over-exercising, excessive soda consumption, and straining during bowel movements. It may be hard to imagine exercise being anything but good for the body, but if you already have a brain aneurysm, overdoing it can increase your blood pressure to rise beyond what the bulge can handle without bursting. Straining during bowel movements also puts too much pressure on many organs in your body, from your diaphragm to the blood vessels in your head, most notably the forehead.
