How to Identity Asthma – Signs and Symptoms

Coughing

In people with Asthma, cough is exacerbated when they have viral infections like the flu. Healthy individuals can cough and it is a protective reflex in them. It occurs as a sudden and forceful removal of air from the nasal canals. This is to cause the clearing of the airways of mucus, microorganisms, allergens, or fluids.

Persistent coughing can cause some complications. It could cause fainting, cough-induced vomiting, sleeplessness, abdominopelvic hernias, cough urination in women with a prolapsed uterus, subconjunctival hemorrhage, etc.

Coughing for a prolonged time is differential for the diagnosis of Asthma.
