Things you should avoid
Avoiding uncomfortable and dangerous sleeping positions is as important as finding the right sleeping position. Uncomfortable sleeping positions can worsen symptoms of your asthma.
Don’t sleep on your stomach
Most people with asthma find sleeping on their stomach comfortable. However, this position restricts the flow of air into the lungs while you sleep. Sleeping on your stomach can trigger symptoms of asthma during the night.
Sleeping without any elevation
When sleep flat on your back without placing a pillow under your head or shoulders for elevation can worsen or trigger your asthma symptoms at night.
