How to Sleep with Asthma: Positions and Tips

Wash your bed sheets regularly

Washing your blankets and bed sheets at least once a week can reduce the risks of having asthma triggers. Use a water temperature of about 130 degrees Fahrenheit to kill bacteria and allergens in your bed sheets. Ensure you dry your bedding in hot conditions, like the sun. This will help kill any bacteria and sterilize the material. Do not spread your bed sheet on your mattress unless it is completely dry. Spreading wet bed sheets on your bed can facilitate the growth of mildew and mold, which are triggers of asthmatic symptoms at night.
