9 Symptoms of Clostridium Difficile Colitis

Long-Term or Lifelong Problems

Most patients suffering from C. difficile infection will recover completely without any long-term damages. However, a few of them will be left to battle some lifelong dangers. There is a myriad of other infectious diseases that may develop as a result of CDI. Shigella, Salmonella, and Campylobacter are bacterial infections that may occur in the long run. Other health problems like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diarrhea, and other gastrointestinal diseases have been noted.

Weakness

Patients often complained about the inability to perform simple daily activities like walking long distances or running. C diff can be said to cause low-level mobility because it strains your bones and muscles and can cause severe body pain if you exert pressure.
