Enthesopathy – Symptoms, Treatments & More

Exercise

Overtime, your doctor may also recommend exercising as a treatment. Light strengthening exercise or stretching techniques can help relieve some of the pressure in the affected joints.

For example, stretching the calf muscles can help ease pain caused by Achilles tendon enthesopathy. To do this, put both your hands on a wall, extend your leg behind you, and bend your foot up. It stretches the muscles in your Achilles tendon without putting pressure on it.

Lifestyle Changes

Making certain changes to your lifestyle can help ease your condition, especially if overuse or excessive activity is the cause of your enthesopathy or underlying conditions.

Your doctor will suggest that you reduce the amount of work or activity that may worsen the affected joint.

If you exercise regularly, you might need to reduce or stop exercising for a while, especially if it puts pressure on the joint. Your doctor may help you develop an exercise plan that is harmless to your condition.
