Causes of Herniated
A herniated or slipped disc happens when a portion of the soft interior nucleus of a spinal disc slips out through a tear in the fibrous lining of the disc. Although the lower back is where it happens most frequently, it can also affect the neck’s and the middle back’s spinal column.
A herniated disc is typically caused by gradual wear and overuse by repetitive motion over time. Age-related spinal disc weakness and drierness increase the likelihood of a herniated disc.
Spinal stenosis and connective tissue disorders are two medical problems that can raise the risk of disc herniation.
