Right upper quadrant pain can be prevented by:
– Staying in a healthy weight
– Reducing alcohol intake
– Quitting smoking
– Taking calcium supplements in moderation to prevent kidney stones
– Drinking a lot of water to keep the body hydrated
– Cooking foods completely to avoid indigestion
– Avoid caffeinated drinks or foods that are acidic, greasy, or spicy
– Avoid foods with salt, sugars, or refined carbs
– Eat foods with fiber and healthy fats, such as fish oil, olive oil, beans, veggies, fruits, or whole grains[11]
