What are the causes of scoliosis?
The exact cause of scoliosis is unknown. However, in some patients, it may appear as congenital. That is, it is present at birth. It can also be caused by degradation of the spinal joints or discs, or by a neuromuscular disorder unrelated to structures of the bone.
