Tick Bites Symptoms

Redness and Pus

If a person is allergic to tick bites, the skin tries to fight this infection by triggering the production of a chemical, called histamine. This chemical leaks into the bloodstream and can cause leakage of the tiny blood vessels under the skin. The leakage causes the bite spot to become red. Lesions caused by tick bites can cause itchiness. Frequent itching of the rashes can further irritate the skin, causing the spots to redden or become blisters.

Tick bites by infected bugs can cause the bite site to be filled with pus. [6] If this happens, the site will be swollen and throbbing. Antibiotics are effective treatments for tick bites and can improve symptoms of swelling or pus-filled sp0ts.
