Recurrent Pain

Angina can last for just a few minutes or over several hours. Heart attack pain may reoccur [3] for several days or up to several months. This condition may signal itself with recurrent pain in the chest. Heartburn can last up to two hours or more, depending on the cause. Lying positions may trigger heartburn hours after experiencing the first sensation. Sitting upright during and after eating is best to prevent heartburn.
Internal injuries like the inflammation of the cartilage connecting the rib and breastbone can also cause recurring aches. Sudden movements and certain positions may increase the severity of the pain.
