Anal Cancer
Anal cancer is a condition that occurs when cancer cells form into malignant or benign tumors in the tissues of the anus. Different types of anal cancer can cause rectal bleeding. Examples include benign tumors, basal cell carcinoma, precancerous conditions, and Bowen’s disease.
The major causes of anal cancer are the development of abnormal cells in the body. In most cases, anal cancer is due to a sexually transmitted infection called human papillomavirus. Note that the symptoms of anal cancer are similar to those of hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and other gastrointestinal diseases.

Rectal bleeding causes a significant level of discomfort in individuals with the condition. Since it could be due to several causes, it’s essential to consult the doctor, especially when it occurs alongside other symptoms like nausea, confusion, blurred vision, cold, clammy, or pale skin.
