Colon Cancer

Colon cancer starts in the colon or rectum, the two organs in the lower part of the digestive system. Note that the rectum is positioned at the end of the colon. According to the American Cancer Society, it’s estimated that around one in twenty-three men and one in twenty-five women will develop colorectal cancer during their entire lifetime.
Some of the major examples of colon cancer symptoms that an individual may experience include constipation, diarrhea, and changes in stool color, blood in the stool, excessive gas, and abdominal pain. Individuals with a prior history of colon polyps, bowel diseases, and a family history of colorectal cancer are prone to the condition.
