Depression

Depression is one of the supportive features of Lewy body dementia. Even though the presence of this symptom is not sufficient to make a diagnosis of this disease, its presence makes an argument for the presence of this disease.
This symptom may be present at the start of this disease or it may arrive later.
Anxiety
The presence of anxiety in this condition is not necessary to make a diagnosis. However, it is a supportive feature of this disease meaning its presence affirms the diagnosis of Lewy body dementia.
Patients become nervous and agitated at the slightest provocation. They are constantly feeling distressed and dreadful in harmless situations.
