Careful interviews reveal an obvious decline in the following:

  • Loss of knowledge about recent events
  • Difficult to solve difficult mental arithmetic (e.g., subtracting 7 from 100)
  • Poor ability to carry out little complex tasks such as marketing, inviting customers to plan dinners, clearing, managing payments, etc.
  • Decreased memory of one’s upbringing
  • Patients become withdrawn, usually in sociable or mentally difficult situations
  • Difficulty in paying the correct amount at stores
  • Difficulty in choosing cooking and menus [4]
