Increase in Body Temperature

It is not uncommon for people that have hip bursitis or bursitis of any kind to come down with mild fever. It is usually due to the inflammation of the joint and the constant release of antibodies to fight these pathogens.
These symptoms listed above are typical for acute bursitis. When the disease progresses to the chronic stage, the pain dulls a little, but movements in the pelvic region remain impeded and even may get worse.
