Trauma

Injuries to the joints can lead to bursitis. These traumas can be suffered by heavy blows to the joint. They are also common in an extreme sport where one is susceptible to joint injuries or extreme pulling and strain on joints. This is even more common in cases where the joint is already subjected to high intensity and overload. In other cases, when the tendons, muscles and joints around the bursae suffer from over-use, bursitis typically develops over time. An especially common type of the condition is elbow bursitis, as this region is frequently affected by excessive strain or movement. The disorder caused by an injury is generally due to the swelling and inflammation of the bursa or small sacs filled with fluid, and this can be exceptionally painful. [7]
