10 Home Remedies for Dehydration

Drink water

The first step to treating dehydration is to drink water, plenty of it. This is what you lose the most when you become dehydrated. For most adults, this is usually enough to become rehydrated. It is ideal to keep a bottle of water with you at all times to avoid getting dehydrated.

Lemon water

Drinking lemon water helps you replace electrolytes, such as magnesium, potassium, and sodium, which are lost when your body becomes dehydrated. Spicing your regular water with lemon can help you drink larger amounts throughout the day. This is a great hack for keeping the body hydrated.

Add one tablespoon of lemon juice [2] to one glass of water to make lemon juice. You may choose to sweeten it with a little bit of honey. Drink this up to three a day. Don’t give children below six months.
