Coconut water

Coconut water is the clear fluid inside a fresh coconut. It is not water spiced with coconut flavor or coconut milk. This drink is commonly used to rehydrate people after intense physical activity or illnesses, such as cholera or diarrhea.

When we become dehydrated, our body loses important electrolytes like potassium and sodium. Coconut water is packed with these electrolytes and can help replenish what is lost. The amount of these electrolytes present in coconut water varies with the coconut’s maturity [3]. Therefore, while some studies show it produces comparable results to sports drinks, some others find no evidence of such potency.

Drink a glass of coconut water up to five times to rehydrate yourself. You can also give this drink to babies above six months.
