Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide can be applied to the ear to reduce earaches. It is most effective if the cause of the earache is accumulation of wax. You can use this method by placing several drops of hydrogen peroxide [6] into the outer canal of the affected ear. Leave it in the ear for a few minutes. Then drain it into a sink. You can rinse your ear with clean, distilled water.
Sleep without putting pressure on the ear
Studies show that sleeping in certain positions will worsen pain from ear infections, while some may help relieve the pain. You can sleep with the affected ear facing up instead of facing down. This will ensure the ear drains better if necessary. You can also sleep with your head in an elevated position by using extra pillows. This will also help the ears drain faster.
