Multiple sclerosis and fibromyalgia share some symptoms like muscle pain and fatigue. However, there are clear differences between the symptoms of both diseases.

Some of the symptoms of multiple sclerosis may include:

  • Walking difficulties

  • Problems with vision: Issues with vision like total loss of vision or double vision can be seen.
  • Depression
  • Tremors
  • Slurred speech: Destruction of myelin sheaths makes conduction and communication in the brain slower. It makes speaking difficult.
  • Fatigue

  • Body pain
  • Lack of bowel and bladder control: Incontinence and inability to empty your bowels and bladder is seen.
  • Tightening of muscles

Most of the symptoms of multiple sclerosis are tied to the central nervous system and the severity of the condition depends on the number of nerves that have been damaged. It mostly affects your body’s ability to move.
