Diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia

Multiple Sclerosis: Doctors mostly diagnose this condition by checking your symptoms and ruling out other conditions. Physical and neurological examinations are performed. Lumbar puncture is done to remove cerebrospinal fluid [5] from your spinal cord for testing. The MRI is also used to check the brain and spinal cord for scars and lesions.
Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia is a very difficult condition to diagnose. There are no special tests used to diagnose the condition. Most times, they are diagnosed when all other conditions have been ruled out. The doctor will ask about your pain and how long you have been experiencing them. Widespread pains that have lasted for up to 3 months or more is a point used for diagnosis.
