Recognizing Symptoms of a Gallbladder Attack

Nausea, Vomiting, and Abdominal Swelling

Many conditions can lead to vomiting, and one of the familiar symptoms is vomiting. As the liver and gallbladder participate in the digestive process, this system is also affected and therefore manifests symptoms of a gallbladder attack. This is because, at this stage, your bile doesn’t have the ability to break down and absorb fat from what you eat. So eating fatty foods may result in indigestion and cause you to be irritated and throw up, too. Although symptoms such as these in the gallbladder are not specific, cases of vomiting, nausea, and swelling of the belly can also show the presence of the disease. As for abdominal edema (swelling), it occurs due to the lack of bile in the intestine, and therefore the indigestion of fats ultimately causes the swelling of the abdomen. [5]
