Dong Quai

Dong quai, also called “female ginseng,” is a traditional Chinese herb that is known for reducing blood clotting. This is usually because song quasi contains Coumadin, which is also present in cinnamon. A 2015 study showed that taking 1,000 milligrams (mg) of dong quai daily did not significantly change blood clotting. Therefore, more research needs to be done to understand its effects on blood clotting. You can add Dong quai to a cup of tea or take it as sliced Angelica combined with a chicken herbal soup. You can also take it as supplements if it is recommended by your doctor.
