Surgery

In some cases, a surgical procedure is needed. These procedures include; angioplasty or coronary bypass surgery, to regulate blood flow to the heart and increase the strength of the heart.
When other treatments have proved futile, doctors recommend a heart transplant.
In more severe cases, fluid aspiration (extraction with a needle) is used to reduce the pressure on the heart. Intravenous nitrates (administered via injection into a vein) may also be used along with oxygen therapy.
When a patient is at the end-stage of heart failure, morphine is administered. This drug works by relaxing airways and blood vessels. It can also significantly treat breathing difficulties.
Conclusion
Living a healthy lifestyle can improve heart health and prevent heart failure. Cardiac asthma is referred to as a secondary condition caused by heart failure. The life expectancy of patients with cardiac asthma depends greatly on how serious the heart failure is.
