Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is available worldwide and can be grown as a houseplant. It has been to treat skin ailments for over 2000 years, and it can also heal many oral health diseases [6] such as canker sores, cold sores, herpes simplex viruses, lichen planus, and gingivitis. Limited research and study have been done to link this plant to a cold sore. However, a study was done in 2016, and it was discovered that aloe vera had anti-inflammatory and antiviral characteristics that could help treat cold sores. They also have inhibitory effects. Aloe vera can also be used on sensitive spots on the skin where other skin products cannot be applied.
