Ulcers
These are internal sores that may develop as a result of HSV. These may form when blisters rupture and ooze or bleed. When urinating becomes painful, ulcers may be the cause and it indicates a possible implication of this virus in the formation of the ulcer crater. Upper abdominal pain is a common symptom.
Scabs
Skin will crust over and form scabs as ulcers heal. Infection rubbing against clothing, scratching, or aggressively washing herpes sores can cause sores to burst and develop scabs. Also, some herpes sores may break open on their own, leaving behind blisters or scabs.
