Common Symptoms of Hip Pain

Difficulty Sleeping on the Hip

Hip pain often feels better when you rest. If you have severe hip pain, even doing this can be difficult [10]. You may experience intense pain when you lie down on the affected hip. Sometimes even when this pain is not as severe, slightly shifting your body weight to the affected hip while sleeping can trigger very uncomfortable sensations along that hip.

Warmth and Tenderness

Hip pain symptoms differ from person to person. The underlying cause also determines which symptoms manifest. Trauma or fresh injuries to the hip, for instance, can result in hip pain marked by warmth and tenderness. The affected area can feel warm under your hands or soft when and painful when you touch it.

Inflammation of the tendons [11] of the hips can also cause pain and tenderness in the front part of the hips. This tenderness is usually concentrated on the affected tendons.
