Non-Aspirin Pain Relievers

Pain is a common symptom of kidney infection. To relieve the discomfort, non-aspirin pain relief medications can be used. Some of the drugs that can be used include; Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), Acetaminophen (Tylenol).
These drugs also help to relieve fever.
Apples and Apple Juice

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apples have been shown to possess anti-inflammatory properties which can be very helpful in reducing inflammation in the kidneys caused by the infection. This aids the healing process.
Apples also have a high acid content that helps to maintain the acidity of the urine and prevents the growth of bacteria. Eating apples or drinking apple juice is a good practice any day and most especially when dealing with a kidney infection.
