Urinary Retention
Urinary retention is a condition that impairs the ability to empty the bladder. That is, you can urinate but cannot empty the bladder due to obstructive and no obstructive factors. This condition can lead to other severe medical conditions such as cancer, kidney stones, stroke [2], nerve disorder, prostate issues, and many more. The condition is usually accompanied by symptoms such as pain in the lower back and discomfort in the lower portion of the abdomen. You will feel an urgent need to urinate, but the inability to empty your bladder. Studies show that people with this condition will feel an uninterrupted stream of urine, but lack the ability to know if the bladder is full or not.
