Five Stages of Kidney Disease

Stage 5 Kidney Disease

The final stage of kidney disease is either a step from kidney failure or the kidney already failed. And the functional level is less than 15 percent. You start to experience all the symptoms at this stage, and there’s an increased risk of heart disease and stroke. If you are not too late, you can still have a kidney transplant or start dialysis; your life expectancy is only a few months if the kidney fails.

Kidney disease is a condition that progresses and can cost one’s life if not treated immediately. You are to visit your doctor so that a diagnosis can be made and treatments that would help manage coexisting conditions would be prescribed.
