What You Should Know About Synovitis

What are the Symptoms of Synovitis?

Other symptoms of synovitis may include:

  • Limping or walking on tiptoe due to discomfort
  • Complaining of pain in the thigh or knee with no hip pain
  • Refusing to walk if the pain is severe
  • Crying and irritability in younger children
  • Running a low-grade fever under 101°F

Symptoms of Synovitis in Infants

The most common signs of synovitis in children include crying, especially when they move their joints, and unusual crawling movements. If your child is unwilling or unable to crawl, it could be a sign of synovitis.
