Bacterial infection

Chronic Laryngitis

This is a more serious condition and may be a signal of an underlying condition. Causes of chronic laryngitis include:

Excessive alcohol drinking
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) [2]
Irritants or Allergens
Cigarette smoking
Vocal cord paralysis
